Sooooo….

Tonight I had a dinner party with 5 of my closest friends and I’m proud to say that it was a total success!! It was the first time that any of them had been to my house (well, besides Ivonne who came knocking on my door last week - it was a complete surprise, to say the least).

First we all had dinner (caesar salad, fettuccine alfredo, and garlic bread) along with cocktails which included: wine/champagne, vodka with cranberry & pineapple juice, as well as a roman coke for myself.

Then we opened up our gifts to one another. I was lucky enough to receive a Bath & Body Works gift card (anyone who knows me, knows that I love the candles and soap from B&BW), a photo frame along with a picture of the 6 of us (ivonne, yesenia, mario, stephanie, alexa, and myself), a Zen Garden stress relief piece for my bedroom from Photofolio (anyone who knows me knows that I’m constantly stressed and Zen is exactly what I need!), a Kiehl’s gift set full of soap, creams and anti-aging products (haha - I’m barely 18, but I’m getting up there!), and a set of creams and beauty-related items from Nordstrom, products from The Art of Shaving, and some samples of colognes (because anyone who knows me knows that I love smelling good).

After exchanging our gifts to one another we had Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and cupcakes…except the cake kind of ended up all over the place. We had a bit of a food fight with the cakes. Icing and strawberries ended up EVERYWHERE! 

And then to end the night we all decided to wind down and watch Jawbreaker! Which is one of my all-time favorite movies ever. I first watched it like 11 years ago (I was 7 at the time) and it’s stuck with me ever since. That movie has the best quotes!

- “I killed the teen dream, deal with it.”

- “Learn it, live it, love it.”

- “Remember, everything is peachy keen. Peachy fucking keen.”

All in all it was a great night. I’m glad we were finally able to do this. It’s nice having a little Christmas get-together with all of your closest friends. Makes you appreciate the little things in life :)
